Product Information

These are produced from unwashed fabric and will shrink after the first wash. Due to the tight weave of the 16oz sashiko fabric, the shirt also fits slightly trimmer compared to many traditional work shirts. If you plan on washing regularly or prefer a more relaxed fit, we recommend sizing up.

Built from a heavyweight 16oz indigo dyed Japanese sashiko fabric, The Sashiko Shirt is designed to age with hard wear and develop character over time.

Each shirt is cut and sewn in our New Jersey shop with solid brass hardware and built to endure years of wear. The fabric starts stiff out of the box but breaks in beautifully with time, molding to the wearer and fading uniquely with use.

    This fabric is raw, it is not pre-shrunk. Washing and machine drying will cause shrinkage. Wash on cold and hang dry tominimize shrinkage.

    Care Instructions

    • Machine wash cold with like colors
    • Use mild detergent
    • Turn inside out to preserve color and surface
    • Avoid bleach
    • Hang dry recommended to minimize shrinkage
    • Tumble dry low if needed
    • Warm iron if necessary
    • Expect slight shrinkage after first wash
    Built from yarn dyed cotton. Color runs through the fabric, not printed on the surface, and will wear in over time without losing its character.
