Old Glory is our interpretation of the American flag, crafted with the same commitment to quality, durability, and American manufacturing that defines every Heat Straps product.
Unlike modern synthetic flags, Old Glory is made from heavyweight 10 ounce waxed canvas, a natural cotton fabric that develops character with age and tells the story of its use. It is built the way American flags were once made, using natural fibers instead of modern synthetic materials.
The original Old Glory featured a single sided star field. This updated version takes the concept a step further with every star individually sewn to both sides of the flag, creating a true double sided construction that looks as good from the front as it does from the back.
Every star is individually sewn to the flag, one at a time. It is an incredibly labor intensive process, but one we believe is essential to creating a true heirloom that will be cherished for generations.
Finished with solid brass grommets, each flag is handcrafted in our small shop in Passaic, New Jersey. Produced in an extremely limited run of only 20 flags, Old Glory is built to become part of your family's story, whether it is displayed on your front porch, in your workshop, at the cabin, or passed down to the next generation.
Like any heirloom, it is meant to be cared for. Waxed canvas will age, develop character, and tell the story of the years it has been proudly displayed.
